CITY MANAGER’S MESSAGE

Thanksgiving is a special day to count our blessings and all the things that we are grateful for. I am especially thankful for our wonderful community volunteers, residents, City staff, service organizations, and businesses that make Claremont an outstanding community! On behalf of the City of Claremont, I would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

          -Tony Ramos, City Manager

Last week, the City delivered Thanksgiving Baskets to the Foothill Family Shelter and distributed more than 150 turkeys at the Joslyn Center. These donations will benefit local families in need this holiday season. Thank you to everyone who participated in making an impact in our community!

This week, the Claremont Sunrise Rotary Foundation will be hosting their 10th Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk on Thanksgiving morning. During the 5K Run/Walk, various street closures in and around the Claremont Village area and portions of the Claremont Colleges will be required. Street closures will begin at 5:30 a.m., and conclude by 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 23.  Read more in the Planning Section.

Next week, come to the Claremont Village on Friday, December 1 for an evening filled with live music, festive storefronts, a magnificent tree lighting ceremony, and great local shopping!  The Claremont Holiday Promenade and Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Read more in the Special Events Section.
