Golden State Water Files Application Requesting Rate Increase

Post Date:08/29/2017

Golden State Water Company has filed an application with the California Public Utilities Commission requesting to increase their rates over a three-year period for service in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Golden State Water is regulated by the State of California to ensure rates reflect the full cost to provide water service, maintain the infrastructure, and make system improvements. Every three years, Golden State is required to file a General Rate Case (GRC) with the state to propose a rate structure. In the GRC application, Golden State is proposing over $14.1 million in infrastructure investments to address water supply, storage, and distribution needs. The GRC process takes approximately 18 months and customers are encouraged to participate in the ratemaking proceedings.
