Claremont Library Temporary Closure
The Claremont Library closed for renovations on Monday, April 16. Library renovations will include installation of a new HVAC system and a new gender-neutral/family restroom, as well as renovations to the public restrooms, adult area, and circulation area. Drought-tolerant landscaping will also be planted and the parking lot will be resurfaced.
While the Claremont branch building is closed, customers can visit nearby La Verne or San Dimas for full L.A. County Library services. Claremont customers can also request to pick up holds, return materials, and browse a small circulating collection at the temporary library site in the Settlers Room at the Alexander Hughes Center (1700 Danbury Road). The temporary library location will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays. The library renovations are expected to take six months.
For the location of Claremont Library programs and storytimes during the closure, please check the online calendar at www.colapublib.org/libs/claremont or call the library at (909) 621-4902.
