    Anyone wanting to shoot a motion picture or videotape production within the City of Claremont must first obtain a film permit and a City business license. Filming done for private, non-commercial use or bona fide news coverage is exempt from the permitting requirements.     Yes, Claremont parks can be reserved for parties, family gatherings, picnics and other group functions. Permits are required for groups over 50 people. Permit applications are available at the Human Services office; a minimum of 7 days is required for processing.
