November 6, 2018 General Municipal Election
Claremont is a general law city governed by a five-member City Council. Terms of office for City Councilmembers are staggered, with three members elected at one election, and two the next. General municipal elections occur on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of even-numbered years
The next Claremont General Municipal Election will be held on November 6, 2018, for three seats on the City Council. The last day to register to vote for this election will be October 22, 2018.
New Vote by Mail Ballots
All Vote by Mail (VBM) voters will receive newly redesigned vote by mail materials for the November 6, 2018 General Election. Los Angeles County redesigned the ballots to make it easier and more convenient to vote by mail. The new full face ballot cards are easier to read and understand, and there will be no postage needed to return the ballot.
VBM ballots will be mailed out between October 8 and October 30. Visit LAvote.net to request a Vote by Mail ballot, find a Vote by Mail ballot drop-off location, or to track your Vote by Mail ballot. Once finalized, all VBM ballot drop-off locations will be posted here.
