Metrolink Station Study
On September 28, 2017 the Metro Board directed Metro staff to conduct a study of the Claremont Metrolink station and determine the impacts of removing the station. On December 11, 2017, the City of Claremont hosted a community meeting with representatives of Metro, Metrolink, Foothill Gold Line Construction Authority and the City. Metro presented the preliminary findings of the study and took questions and comments from the audience. The presentation and handout from the community meeting can be found below:
The official public comment period to Metro ended on December 21, but residents can still send emails to the Metro Board Members. Email addresses for the Metro Board Members can be found at www.metro.net/about/metro-board.
Findings and recommendations will be presented to the Metro Planning and Programming Committee on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Metro Board Room located at One Gateway Plaza in Los Angeles. The City will be providing transportation via Metrolink to the meeting. If you would like to attend, please RSVP by contacting the City Manager’s Office at (909) 399-5441 by January 15, 2018. We will meet at the Metrolink station at 11:45 am and travel into Los Angeles.
