Commercial Rehabilitation Loan Program

The Commercial Rehabilitation Loan Program is a reduced-interest rate loan program designed to assist retail and restaurant businesses located within the City's Consolidated Redevelopment Project Area. The purpose of the program is to upgrade the appearance of retail and restaurant properties to increase sales, property values, and improve the business climate within the City. Funds are distributed on a first come, first served basis

Maximum Loan Amount

Up to $200,000 of the total project cost.

Grant Amount

20% of the principal loan ($40,000 maximum).

Reduced Interest Rate

5.25%

Loan Term

5 years - (monthly payments)

Secured By

Personal guarantee(s) of the business owners and approval of the property owners.  Some loans may require additional security.

Qualifying Projects

Architectural and engineering design services, signs and awnings, faade improvements, roofing repairs, landscaping, window treatments, demolition, tenant improvements, site improvements, seismic retrofitting, and other projects as approved by the Redevelopment Agency's Executive Director.
