Citizen's Police Academy

What is the Citizen's Police Academy?

The Citizen's Police Academy is a class coordinated by the Claremont Police Department. The goal of the class is to learn more about the Claremont Police Department through educational sessions and exciting hands-on exercises.

Who can participate?

Claremont residents, merchants, students and City employees who are 18 years old or older. A criminal history check will be conducted to verify information provided by the participant. There is a minimum enrollment of 20 students; the class is subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met.

How much does it cost?

The class is FREE!

When is the Citizen's Police Academy?

The Citizen's Police Academy is held periodically based upon interest and staffing availability.  If interested, complete and send in an application (below) and you will be notified when the next class is scheduled.

Print out and complete the application below. Deliver the completed application by mail, fax, or in person to:
