Safety Tip

Everyone should consider it his/her responsibility to report crime. Many criminals target favorite areas and have predictable methods of operation. When you report all the facts about a crime, it helps the police assign officers in the places where crimes are occurring or where they are most likely to occur.

Neighborhood Watch

The Claremont Police Department has long recognized that citizen crime reporting is the primary means of obtaining information on emergencies, suspicious activity and crime. Victimization surveys and researches on police operations have highlighted the importance of citizen initiative in reporting crime to the police.

The Neighborhood Watch program has a number of program presentations available to your neighborhood group. These programs include disaster preparedness, personal security and crime prevention. If your Neighborhood Watch group has another area of interest that they would like addressed, we would be happy to try and accommodate that request.

To start a Neighborhood Watch program in your area or to "refresh" your organized group, please call the Claremont Police Department at (909) 399-5409. It is only through the dedicated efforts of citizens within our community that the Neighborhood Watch program will continue to be an effective tool in protecting the quality of life which we have grown to expect and enjoy in our community.
