The Independence Day Celebration culminates with an fireworks show and a live Rock & Roll concert by LCR, a hometown band and local favorite that has performed for many Claremont functions. We are excited about having them back!
The fireworks show has developed over the years and has become one of the biggest and best shows in all of Los Angeles County! The 20+ minute show is fully synchronized to music and electronically fired. Each year, the Independence Day Committee has added a new element to the fireworks - from "waterfalls" and "silver bees" to "happy faces." Come check out the latest addition this year - it is sure to make you "pop!"

- Mills - North (just below 6th Street) Handicap accessibility
- Mills - South (above 1st street)
- Rains Center Walkway (below 6th, between Amherst and College Way)
Parking
A map of the parking lots is available by clicking the link below or by visiting City Hall and the Human Services Department anytime after June 1, 2010.
Parking lots on many of the college campuses have also been secured for use. Street parking is also an option where permitted (please pay attention to posted signs and be sure not to block driveways). Handicapped parking is available in the parking lot on the SE corner of Mills and 6th.
The Committee extends a huge THANK YOU to the administration and staff of Pomona College for providing the facility for the community's use. This is an outstanding stadium and we would like to ask each attendee to say thanks to Pomona College by caring for their facility.
Rules to Abide

- No foot traffic on the track (limited to carpeted areas)

- Chairs are permitted on the grass only
Fireworks Show Liability Waiver
I, the participant in this activity, and intending to be legally bound for its members, their heirs, executor and administrators, do hereby release and discharge the City of Claremont and Pomona College as well as their respective officers, directors, employees, volunteers, partners and contractors, jointly and severally, from any and all liability from personal injury, accident, illness, death, property damage or other occurrence which I may suffer in any manner whatsoever arising out of or resulting from our participation in the above mentioned program(s), and I expressly assume ALL risks of our participation in this activity, including, without limitation, injury as a result of the acts of omission of the above parties or some defect in or on their property of any of them, whether caused by negligence of otherwise, except for illness and injury resulting directly from solely gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of the City or its employees and I agree to indemnify, save, hold harmless and defend each and every of the above parties of and from any and all loss, damages, expenses, costs, and attorney's fees arising out of or resulting from my organization's participation in this activity. I certify that I have read and understand this waiver and release. Participants involved in the City of Claremont Human Services programs/events may be photographed and such photographs may be used to publicize City programs/events without compensation and without further permission.
