All City Parks Closed
Due to the COVID-19 Safer at Home Executive Order, all City parks are closed until further notice. This includes all sports courts, fields, restrooms, and playgrounds. Passive areas of parks remain open to members of families that reside together who wish to get some fresh air and exercise. This does not mean gatherings are permitted. For your health and safety, we remind you to use caution and abide by social distancing requirements. During this time, City staff will be working to make necessary maintenance improvements and repairs, so that parks are spruced up and ready to go when the Order is lifted. We appreciate your cooperation in this effort.
Claremont is home to dozens of parks offering lush green belts, walking paths, play structures, and sports fields. Many residents enjoy using group picnic areas for family gatherings, birthdays, and celebrations. If you are thinking about reserving a picnic area, please review our reservation requirements and application.
City Parks, other than Thompson Creek Trail and the Claremont Wilderness Park, are open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
No person shall remain, stay, or loiter in any public park, or in a building therein, or the park parking lot, or park a vehicle in any public park parking lot, between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., or during any time that a park closure notice has been issued and posted unless an exception permit has been issued by the City. Violation is subject to citation.
