Enforcement of Overnight Parking has Resumed

Post Date:05/14/2020 9:13 AM

The enforcement of the Overnight Parking Ordinance has resumed. As a reminder, the Claremont Municipal Code prohibits parking any vehicle on a City street for more than one hour between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. If you have to park on the street between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m., you can apply for an ONP Exemption up to 60 days in advance. Each household is entitled to 3 ONP Exemptions (3 nights) per vehicle, per month. To request a longer term overnight exemption, send a detailed email to: policewatchcommanders@ci.claremont.ca.us. Please include your address, vehicle information, including license plate make and color of vehicle, and specific reasons related to COVID as to why you need to park in the street. Staff will be monitoring the emails, and you will receive a response as to whether it has been approved or not.
