A notice has been issued by the National Weather Service for a potential strong wind event.  This event is expected to begin Tuesday, January 28 through Wednesday, January 29.  This wind event has the potential to down trees, power lines and blow debris throughout the Wilderness Park, Thompson Creek Trail, and City.  Please use caution around trees, power lines, and secure your property.  City parks will remain OPEN during this time.

Claremont welcomes new businesses and has a fond appreciation for those businesses already located within the City. In addition, the Claremont Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to supporting and enhancing the prosperity, civic vitality, and general well-being of the business community, as well as individual residents.

Claremont’s Economic Development team, comprised of City staff and consultants, assists the business community and the future development of the City by providing a variety of services and programs, including:


  • Active business retention programs
  • Funding of visitor promotion activities provided by the Chamber of Commerce
  • Small business assistance programs
  • Marketing programs

The mission of the Economic Development team is to encourage a healthy economic base in the community by enhancing current commercial/industrial operations and facilitating new commercial development.
