A notice has been issued by the National Weather Service for a potential strong wind event. This event is expected to begin Tuesday, January 28 through Wednesday, January 29. This wind event has the potential to down trees, power lines and blow debris throughout the Wilderness Park, Thompson Creek Trail, and City. Please use caution around trees, power lines, and secure your property. City parks will remain OPEN during this time.

Is My Business Tax Certificate Transferable?No. Certificates are terminated when business ownership or location changes. Please advise the Business License Office when you relocate or terminate your business for any reason.

Special Permits & State Licensing
Some types of businesses require special permits and/or
licensing, which must be obtained prior to submitting a business license

The City of Claremont has a sign ordinance, which requires a
permit for the display of advertising flags and banners. If you plan on
installing a new sign or making changes to an existing one, please
contact the Community Development Department at 909-399-5470.
Burglar Alarm Permit
If you plan on installing an alarm, permits are required by
the City to ensure that alarm systems are in compliance with the alarm
ordinance. Contact the Police Department at 909-399-5411.
Post Your Business Tax Certificate
Business Licenses (Business Tax Certificates) must be posted
in public view at the fixed location of the business. If no fixed
location exists in the City, the responsible party must carry the
Business License with them while conducting business in Claremont.
