Excellence in Design Awards

Each year, the Claremont Architectural Commission presents the Excellence in Design Awards. The annual awards program was established in 1980 and recognizes recently-completed building projects in Claremont that best exhibit the City's standards of design excellence. Awards are presented in several categories, including new construction, restoration, landscaping, signs, and sustainable development. In order to be eligible, the project must be in Claremont and have been completed prior to December 31 of the prior year. Projects involving interior alterations only will not be considered for an award.

Anyone may nominate an eligible project. Nomination forms are available at Claremont City Hall, 207 Harvard Avenue.

Questions about the awards or the nomination process can be answered by calling the City's Planning Division at (909) 399-5470.
