FREE Used Oil Recycling

Motor oil should NEVER be poured onto the ground, into storm drains, or tossed into trash cans (even in a sealed container). One gallon of used motor oil can contaminate 1 million gallons of fresh water—a year's supply of water for 50 people.1 Recycling used motor oil conserves resources and protects our soil, groundwater, streams, and rivers.

The City of Claremont provides a FREE curbside used oil collection program. The City will provide containers and will pick up used motor oil and filters for recycling. To schedule a pickup, please contact Community Services at 909-399-5431.

Certified Used Oil Collection Centers

Claremont residents can also recycle their used motor oil by bringing it to the Claremont Certified Used Oil Collection Center listed below. These Used Oil Collection Programs are funded by a grant from CalRecycle.
