Park Picnic Area Reservations

The City of Claremont is home to various, beautiful parks offering lush green trees and open space, children's playground areas, picnic areas, and more. Picnic areas, at select city parks, may be reserved for use between the hours of 6:00 a.m. through 10:00 p.m. on a year-round basis for small gatherings and celebrations. Park picnic area reservations must be completed in-person at the Alexander Hughes Community Center during normal operating hours and must be reserved one (1) week prior to the reservation date. Park picnic area reservations are required for all groups of forty-nine (49) individuals or more, but are suggested for all use. Rules and regulations apply to all park picnic area usage, regardless of reservation. Please reference below documents for more information and the application. Prices are subject to change.

Memorial Park Wading Pool

The Memorial Park Wading Pool is open during the summer season each year from June through August. The pool is open to children five years of age and under and must be accompanied by an adult. The Memorial Park Wading Pool will be available for public use Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  The Memorial Park Wading Pool is also available for rentals on Saturdays and Sundays from June through August. Wading pool reservations must be held in conjunction with a picnic area reservation and must be reserved two (2) weeks prior to the reservation date. If you are interested in reserving the wading pool for a party, please contact or visit the Alexander Hughes Community Center. Prices are subject to change per season.

Park Picnic Area and Wading Pool Documents

 

  • The Park Picnic Area and Wading Pool Reservation Application must be submitted in-person to the Alexander Hughes Community Center within the required time frame per reservation.
  • The charging of admission fees, which includes collections, donations, or publicizing a fee is not allowed for picnic area or wading pool reservations and may be cause for cancellation of the reservation.
  • Cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Human Services Department by the reservations holder at least two weeks prior to the reservation to qualify for a full refund.
  • All reservation changes must be received in writing no less than one week in advance of the reservation date by the reservation holder.
  • Contact the Alexander Hughes Community Center during normal business hours to inquire of park picnic area or wading pool availability.
