The Claremont Senior Program is actively seeking volunteers ages 16 and older to assist with a wide range of activities, services, and programs offered at the Joslyn Center and Blaisdell Community Building.

Nutrition Volunteers


Set up the dining room, welcome the diners, serve lunch, assist with light cleanup, and have fun developing relationships with our participants!

Instructors and Group Leaders

Start a class or a program showcasing your talents. It could be the inspiration for a new hobby, exercise, or the key to creative problem-solving.

Schedule a convenient time that works for you.

Office Volunteers

Provide assistance to the Senior Program staff by filing, copying, stuffing envelopes, and working on special projects as needed.

Phone Assurance Line Callers (PAL)

Call isolated older adults on a daily basis. You might be the one friendly voice he or she hears all day.

Special Events

Throughout the year, we hold several special events that require volunteer assistance. Examples include the Volunteer Recognition Event (May), Fall Information Fair & Flu Shot Clinic (Oct.), and Holiday Party (Dec.).

Committee on Aging

Serve on various working ad hoc and task groups to facilitate access for seniors to a full range of programs, activities, and services that enable Claremont's seniors to live fulfilling lives.

Movie Matinees

Introduce the movie to the audience. Prepare and serve popcorn to the movie audience. Assist in light clean-up afterwards.

Dinner & Dance Events

Decorate the dining room or patio, welcome diners, serve dinner, and do a light cleanup for our monthly nightclub-style activity.

Care Partners (via AgingNext)

Assist with activities of daily living such as shopping, preparing meals, running errands, and providing companionship to alleviate the loneliness that so many homebound seniors experience. Must be a senior to volunteer. For more information, please call 909-621-9900.
