The Claremont Hills Wilderness Park is CLOSED January 17 through January 18 due to heavy rain and flooding, and will be evaluated for reopening on Saturday, January 19, 2019.  Additionally, ALL sports fields are CLOSED until Monday, January 21.

Entry Deadline: Friday, January 25, 2019 (to any CUSD main office or the Hughes  Center) 

Award Ceremony: Monday, February 25, 2019

The Making Change Contest is presented by the City of Claremont and the Claremont Unified School District.  This contest recognizes champions of human rights and social justice. It also provides an opportunity for students to honor and remember all that these champions have done to transform the world for the better.

Student’s (K-12) who live in or attend school in Claremont may participate by submitting individual letters, essays, multimedia presentations, or artistic works completed as a group.  An award ceremony for participants and their families is scheduled for February 25, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at the Alexander Hughes Community Center.
