LA Found is a program headed by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the L.A. County Workforce Development Aging and Community Services (WDACS).  These departments have partnered with Project Lifesaver, a non-profit organization, who created the bracelet.  The bracelet is not under constant monitoring and is only activated by emergency services after a person is reported missing.

When a Claremont resident wearing a Project Lifesaver bracelet goes missing, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (in conjunction with the Claremont Police Department) deploys a specially equipped team to assist with search and rescue. Weather permitting, the Sheriff’s Department can also deploy helicopter-mounted receivers to assist the ground search team to help expedite locating the missing person.

Free bracelets are available for those who qualify, and for a limited period of time.  Click the link below to be redirected to the LA Found website, and take the next step in protecting your loved ones.
